The Modern Endangered Archives Program an UCLA Library granting program funded by Arcadia Fund
Memoria Abierta archives were included, being considered of global importance, in the “Memory of the World” of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) within the framework of the 2007 presentation entitled “Human Rights Documentary Heritage in Argentina for the period 1976-1983. Archives for Truth, Memory and Justice against state terrorism”. In 2004, Memoria Abierta received the Prince Claus Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of culture and development, for its contribution to the knowledge of the past and to the consolidation of a democratic culture.
